Job Title: CD Finance BP Manager France
Location: Rueil-Malmaison, France
The Finance Business Partner Customer Development plays a key role in the French sales organization. CD Finance is crucial in making sure BU strategy is linked to the sales power.
JOB PURPOSE
As a core pillar of the Unilever Finance Operating Model and France MSO, CD Finance plays a critical role in shaping customer strategy and performance. You will work hand in hand with Customer Development to steer the customer performance agenda, unlock value through high impact customer development initiatives, and ensure investment choices are optimized for sustainable, profitable growth. CD Finance enables Unilever to win with its customers by providing sharp insights, financial leadership, and proactive business partnering.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive value creation in (annual) negotiations in partnership with the Sales Director and Account managers.
- Co lead the Customer Development performance agenda for the category by reviewing customer results versus forecast, identifying gaps, and steering corrective actions. Drive strategic and financial interventions across customer P&Ls, proactively optimize TMI investments, and manage opportunities and risks arising from annual agreements.
- Critically evaluate customer investment proposals, providing financial leadership and influencing Customer Development teams to make the sharp data led decisions that maximize value for the business.
- Lead (annual) deal implementation: work with operations teams to ensure correct invoicing, accurate provisioning, and automated tracking of contractual commitments.
- Ensure accurate UPG in actuals and forecast by customer. It includes among other things support on calculation of net net price per SKU/customer and its tracking.
- Strengthen governance in areas where value is at stake, such as promotional investments and Innovations launches, ensuring consistent decision quality across customers.
- Act as an agile business partner for new customer or channel opportunities, customer mergers & acquisitions and strategic projects.
- Lead interventions and simplification initiatives within customer teams to improve efficiency, ways of working, and financial discipline.
- Bring external insight into customer performance by analyzing market and customer drivers and translating them into actionable recommendations for CD teams and the wider business.
- Prepare materials for and lead the Customer Development Business performance reviews as finance representative
ALL ABOUT YOU
Experience Required:
- Master's in finance.
- 3+ years experience, ideally with FMCG background.
- Experience in managing a large and complex set of stakeholders.
- Experience in presenting to and communicating with senior finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Experience in driving P&L improvements and holding others accountable.
- Finance Business partnering and category/customer experience is a plus.
